Dr. Ambedkar Primary Teachers' Training Institute is run & managed by "Nadia Tapasili Jati-o-Adibasi Jagaran Samity" (a voluntary organization dedicated to human resource & development) registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act XXVI of 1961 (Regn. No. S/69726/1991-92) & the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act 1976, Govt. of India, Regn. 147060052. Dr. Ambedkar Primary Teachers' Training Institute is situated in a very attractive natural site in the rural area of Nakashipara Block at Sahapara, Bethuadahari, Nadia, West Bengal.

The institute has been affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education after fulfilling all the requirements mentioned in the application-cum-information booklet quite systematically. After a successful inspection, the institute received recognition from the West Bengal Board of Primary Education in June 2004.

The founder body of the institute, Nadia Tapasili Jati-o-Adibasi Jagarany, has been constantly engaged towards the development of Socio-cultural & Educational aspect of downtrodden people of the vast area of West Bengal, specially in the district of Nadia since 2004, i.e., more than thirteen (13) years by organising Blood Donation Camp, Ambedkar Youth Festival, seminars, symposiums, Dance-Drama-Musical & cultural competitions/programs, Science exhibitions, Celebration of Madhyamik & H.S. successful students, Felicitation to the poets & honourable persons , distribution of cloth & blankets to the poor & needy people, etc.
